UPT EMPLOYEES exceeded the set of goal of $500 and raised a total of $545 toward Breast Cancer Research.

OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! updated: October 31, 2022  This year, UPT EMPLOYEES exceeded the set of goal of $500 and raised a total of $545 toward Breast Cancer Research. Thank you so much for those that participated and wore PINK!!  UPT asked every employee to wear PINK SHIRTS (or other PINK ATTIRE – pants, hair, hat) on Fridays in October. For every PINK SHIRT worn on Fridays in October (there are 4), UPT will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.The mission of Susan G.Komen is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.  Here is the breakdown week by week:  10/28/2022: Out of 60 employees; 30 employees wore PINK That’s roughly 50% participation. Raising $150 for Breast Cancer Research.   10/21/2022:Out of 58 employees; 28 employees wore PINK. That’s roughly 48% participation.Raising $140 for Breast Cancer Research.   10/14/2022: Out of 58 employees; 22 employees wore PINK That’s roughly 38% participation.Raising $110 for Breast Cancer Research.   10/7/2022:Out of 58 employees; 29 employees wore PINK That’s roughly 49% participation.Raising $145 for Breast Cancer Research.  Last year, 2021, we did a one-day event (wearing pink shirts on 10/14) and raised $280.October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. updated 10/7/2022: For the month of October UPT is challenging its' employees to wear Pink (shirts, wigs, hats, socks) every Friday in October. For every PINK SHIRT (or other clothing item) worn, UPT will donate $5 to the Susan G Komen Foundation. Our Goal is to raise $500.

The staff at UPT celebrated 20-years in business at the Local Room in Locust.

43 employees and their guests (68 people total) showed on Sunday afternoon 8/21/22 at the Local Room in Locust NC to celebrate their company's 20 year anniversary. Everyone enjoyed live music, food, drinks, door raffle prizes (themed gift boxes), freebies (UPT promotional items/giveaways) and great fellowship with fellow co-workers. After a speech from the CTO, Brent Barbee (founder of UPT), special recognition took place to those 13 employees who worked 5+, 10, 15 and 20 years with the company. A good time was had by all!!

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) is a category or classification for a specific family of thin-film coatings.This group of coatings is typically used on critical wear components to drastically improve durability,decrease friction and improve the general function of certain components; extrusion tooling, gears,weapon components, actuators, etc.
